Project 1 | Richard Bassett

The goal of this project is to create a dynamic facade that will provide shading, all out of the basic rhomboid structure. During this stage completion of the overall form, and rhomboid grid pattern was accomplished. Further developments will see the rhomboids extrude through the use of an additional parametic families, creating a more ramdomized, and solid exterior surface.

Compared to other form making software, Revit forces users to create functions using geometric and mathematical knowledge. These functions are often predesigned and installed in other programs. This may be seen as creating an innovative platform where many users are able to manipulate the software, however Revit many times does not work with logical operations, or the restrictions of the software are not well understood.
